About COVID-19

Coronavirus is spread mostly by shed virus particles contained in respiratory droplets. These droplets are released when people talk, cough, or sneeze.

The droplets do not travel far in ordinary circumstances. In addition, soap and water or alcohol-based sanitizers can easily extinguish or remove the virus particles. For these reasons, a sound COVID-19 prevention strategy rests primarily on three main steps that anyone can follow:

Wear face masks to contain one’s own droplets and block others’ from reaching one’s nose and/or mouth.

Stay at least 6 feet away from others whenever possible.

Good health relies on clean hands and removing any germs or viruses that may have transferred by touch.
